ABAP – OM Infotype Creation

For example PM Infotype 9120 can be created through the following steps:

1. Check the non-existence of the info type: Check for the existence of any info type with the given number in the tables T582A and T777D.

2. Go to SE11 and create a structure with the prefix HRI…like HRI9120 (example)

3. Enter the required fields. Save and activate the structure.

4. Go to transaction code PPCI .

5. Enter the info type number: 9120 and give the infotype name.

6. Choose create—> (F5)

7. One more time Choose create then a confirmation box is displayed as shown below:

8. Choose YES to create, it will show an information message that the info type was created.

9. Then create entries in table T777T for different languages.

10. In SE38 compare the program MP912000 with the source.

11. In SE51 compare the screens for the program MP912000, for all screens.

12. Create the screens if it is not present.

13. Go to PM01, enter the Infotype number, Select the technical characteristics

14. Compare the technical characteristics with the source.

15. If data segment is present then,Go to WE31 create the segment

16. Enter the fields required and save it.

17. Go to SE35, Checks the Dialog module program.

18. Check the infotype, by creating entries.

19. Go to PP01, Create the Infotype entries and save it.

20. Checks the table HRP9120 for the entries.

Points to be noted:

1. Checks the table maintainance generator for all the tables.
2. Package wise comparison between source and destination.
